What is cis league of legends?

CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) League of Legends is the official esports league for the region consisting of countries that were once part of the Soviet Union, such as Russia, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan. The league is organized and operated by Riot Games, the company behind League of Legends.

CIS has its own separate league with no ties to other regions, meaning that teams from the CIS region only compete against each other. The teams compete for a chance to represent the region in international competitions such as the League of Legends World Championship.

The current format of the CIS league consists of 10 teams competing against each other in a round-robin format with each team playing each other twice. At the end of the regular season, the top six teams advance to the playoffs, where they compete in a single-elimination bracket for the championship title.

CIS League of Legends has produced many successful teams and players, including Gambit Esports, who won the first-ever League of Legends World Championship in 2012, and Eugene "Pobelter" Park, who is a Korean-American professional League of Legends player currently playing for Unicorns of Love, a CIS team.
